News for Sunday 18th January and the Week Ahead

Dearest friends,

Jesus calls Himself the Bread of Life, the one who nourishes our hearts, minds, and souls with His very self. In these busy and often challenging days, it can be easy to come to Mass out of habit. But what if our faith could be renewed, refreshed, and rooted more deeply in the loving mystery we celebrate each week?

I’d like to invite you to consider signing up for the Bread of Life course, a rich and prayerful journey through the heart of our Christian faith.

This six-module course helps us explore the Eucharist as the central sacrament of our life together, to encounter Scripture with new eyes, to deepen our prayer, and to understand more fully what it means to live as the Body of Christ in the world today.

Created with care and supported by resources from across the Church, Bread of Life includes videos, reflections, and an accompanying Guest Book that will guide your personal and communal reflection.

It uses the Eucharist to build a working model of day-to-day Christian living – it is simultaneously a great place to start if you’re wondering what it means to be a Christian, and a wonderful place to visit if you’re a mature Christian who is wondering where Jesus may be calling you next.

It’s a course designed to encourage, build up, deepen, and inspire you as you walk with Jesus in 2026.
